K9 Skills 123 was started with the goal of providing the best services to benefit the dog(s) and owners alike.  Classes are kept small to allow for individual time with each student.

Serving the California Sierra Foothils, you'll find a range of services designed to meet your needs. Along with private or semi-private lessons, you can choose classes from bacic obedience and manners for the family pet, to competitive Rally and Obedience classes. We also schedule periodic "run thrus" for competitors as they prepare for competiton. There is something for everyone. 

With over 40 years of experience,  beginning as a student at the Del Monte Kennel Club  and the Monterey Bay Dog Training Club I developed a passion for canine sports events. I've had the opportunity to work with Pluis Davern, Pam Strametz, Carol Davis, Dorothy Mash and other great trainers. Countless books, seminars and lessons have been part of my life ever since. 

Some of my greatest learning experiences have come from teaching. Each student and each dog bring a welcomed challenge to tailor lessons to meet specific needs. It's a continual learning process. 

Realizing a dog does only as well as its handler, a good deal of consideration is given to how the handler connects with their dog.  Every session focuses engaging your dog with positive reinforcement.  

"I don't train dogs, I teach people" has been my motto. I welcome the opportunity to work with new dogs and their owners to work  toward their personal goals.
